In the process of enlarging factory area or increasing equipment, some factories choose electric rail transfer cart to transport materials. However, many of them don't have a good understanding about the guide rail laying and rail type choice. Here, we'd like to give you a general preview on how to distinguish the differences in rail type:

1: We choose the rail type according to the using circumstances. In china, we have a uniform standard and decide the rail type according to the load capacity. Usually, we use the rail mark of P**, and the rail is divided into standard and nonstandard. Generally speaking, in machinery industry, we take it for granted that they are nonstandard.

2: The rail is divided into light rail and heavy rail. Heavy rail refers to that the the nominal weight in is more than 30kg per meter. For instance, train rail and crane rail are both light rail. Train rail: used in rail laying, with enough strength and flexibility to bear the pressure, shock load and fabric in the process of train running. It's in high standard which need to preserve the chemical composition and mechanical property, drop weight test and acid leaching group inspection.

Crane rail: is also called hoist rail. It consists of low width, wide head and large waist size. We need only to inspect the chemical property and strength of extension. It's used in crane and small size cart rail laying.
Light rail means that the nominal weight is equal or less than 30kg per meter. Light rail has less quality demand than heavy rail and only need to inspect the chemical property, strength of extension, hardness and drop weight test. Mainly use: Light rail is always used in laying temporary transport and light locomotive line in forests area, mine, factory and construction area.
